The table below contains all unique food names ('food name in source') in the VitK food composition database (v0.1_10.2024). This web page can search food by:
(1) country
(case-insensitive; eg "denmark, netherlands; united kingdom').
(2) Exclude Source_ID
(case-insensitive; "usda_5102024" by default).
(3) food keywords
food names (case-insensitive; eg "beef, raw" will filter rows with both 'beef' and 'raw' in the 'food name in source').
(4) compound
vitmin K individuals (eg 'pk', 'dk1', 'mk-4' or 'mk').
(5) Excluding keywords
(seperate by , or ;. eg "juice, dried; jelly) to refine/narrow down the search results.
(6) Following the three steps search you can then select the most appropriate food names (checkbox in the table). Thereafter, you can click Combine Selected
to generate a list of selected food. Please then Copy List
the list and paste it to "food names in database" column in your worksheet.
When the checkbox in the header of the first column is checked or unchecked, it will select or deselect all the checkboxes in the table. The NHIRI team has developed an application to automatically pre-match food names in the database, as well as assign ViK (total or individuals) content based on multiple criteria, including country/region sequence. The application will generally take less than one minute to generate VitK data for over 10,000 rows of foods. The data will include "country/region of the data source", "mean", "median", "count of data" and "number of unique data source".
