On this page, we compile lists of foods from multiple food composition databases and compare them with the food items in our Nitr-Navigator database. The matched food names can then be uploaded to our NitriXplorer, where they are automatically assigned nitrate and nitrite content values. For composite foods that are not included in our database, we label them as ‘Not found’.

China Food Composition Tables (1 & 2; 2018-2019) 中国食物成分表 标准本 第6版/ 第一&二册 |
The reformatted and translated China Food Composition Tables (Volumes 1 & 2; 2018-2019) are now available for download in CSV format. We used the PDF version of the tables (edited by Yuexin Yang, 2018-2019) as described in an open-source GitHub repository called china-food-composition-data by Sanotsu. We extracted the data from the PDF files using Paddle OCR (飞桨 OCR). Disclaimer:The resources and PDF files used on this website are sourced from GitHub and other online platforms. The PDF tables used in this project can be downloaded from the following links: The CSV tables will be generated using JSON files directly from china-food-composition-data. Other sections that are not included in the repository, such as Appendix 1: Chinese-English Food Names, will be created by ourselves. The file will be available soon. |
